MME 12 Hour Wrap-up

After starting from pole, bad luck thwarted our efforts at the Merdeka Millineum 12 hr. Endurance race in Malaysia. I was leading in my first stint until overheating issues in the 90+ degree heat forced me to slow and stay in clean air. We were able to claw our way back to fight for the lead. Then, during teammate William’s stint, we lost a half-shaft on course. The rules only allow repairs to be done on track by a driver, so I grabbed some parts and tools, and with instruction from one of our mechanics, I replaced the bad shaft and we rejoined and finished the race….many laps down, but we finished. Next up is the CTSSC event in Monterey, CA; can’t wait to be at one of my fav tracks back in the States!
