Malaysia VW R-Cup Wrap-up.

A great win was achieved in Malaysia, ending an up-and-down weekend in the VW R-Cup China series. I qualified for both races in P3. Race 1 result was a tough pill to swallow. After losing 4 spots at the start, and the contact that followed, I drove hard to make-up a 7 second gap to the 3 front running cars. On the last lap, while passing for P3, I had contact and got penalized 30 seconds, which dropped me from the podium to P11.

Got the WIN in race 2! Once again, I started from P3 and made it to P2 by the first turn. Then, I had 5 laps of one of the most intense battles I’ve ever experienced in a race car and captured the lead! In the closing laps, I pulled out a big lead and never looked back, bringing home my 4th win in the series, and the 6th win this year! 4 wins in the R-Cup; 1 in Pacific F2000, and 1 in the CTSCC series.

Still a few races left to win in 2012, with great news to be announced soon re 2013 plans.
